Mackenzie joined Carbonfuture after earning her dual MBA and Master’s of Environmental Management degree from Duke University. A former Professional Showjumping rider, she decided to leave the sport to create an impactful career focused on climate action. While at Duke, she focused on the intersection of ocean health and climate change, and examined the role of financial innovation to fund conservation activities. She also gained experience at several climate-focused VC firms, and ultimately discovered her passion for carbon removal while working at an ocean-based CDR startup. Mackenzie is thrilled to join Carbonfuture as a Carbon Removal Sourcing Manager, and excited to join the effort to scale the supply of durable carbon removals.
